Height = 26. 75 inches
Head Circ. = 17 inches.
Teeth = 3 on the bottom and 1 up top. There is another one poking in at the top. She's been teething a lot lately so hopefully it will cut soon.
Amelia is doing great, she is very mobile and wants to get into everything. It may be time to seriously think about baby proofing the house. Of course, she seems to want to touch everything that she is not supposed to. Now that the weather is getting warmer, we try to get her outside as much as we can. She absolutely loves being outside. The only thing is that she hates wearing hats and it is very much needed with the warm sun. I'm hoping she will eventually get used to them because she is going to wear them regardless. I don't want that bald head of hers to burn.
She's still drinking soy formula and now we have started giving her a little more chunkier purees. She definitely only likes certain things. She is also very fond of these apple oat snacks by Gerber. At first she didn't know what to think of them but now she takes them no problem. She still has not mastered how to grasp and put things in her mouth and actually let go of them. She gets the apple treat in her mouth and licks them and then they stick to her fingers or she ends up munching on her fist. She ends up with sticky hands. So of course mommy places them in her mouth for her.
We have also finally started to try a bedtime routine and it seems to be working. We either put some lotion on her or give her a bath and then get her in her pjs. Next we let her play for a little bit in her room and then place her in her crib and read her a story. She usually stands up in her crib during story time and and tries to eat the crib or she bounces. We still can't get her to lay down in her crib and actually fall asleep while we read or have soft music playing and have the lights down low. So the trick is for one of us to hold her and rock her to sleep with the suesu (paci) in her mouth. Once that suesu falls out, we can place her in her crib. We can usually get her down before 8:30pm, and sometimes earlier. It seems late, but this is good progress for us.
And now for the most recent pictures of Amelia:
